Today, we are announcing a new partnership between K-Dense and [Litmus Science](https://litmus.science/) to connect AI-powered scientific research with on-demand laboratory execution. Together, we are working toward a more complete research loop, one in which a scientist can move from a question, to a computationally grounded plan, to a real experiment and its results without stitching together a maze of disconnected tools and vendors.

K-Dense Web is already a powerful AI co-scientist. It can search across scientific databases, synthesize literature, work with complex data formats, write and execute code, design analyses, and produce publication-ready research artifacts. What it cannot yet do is step into a wet lab, load a plate, run an assay, or collect a new measurement from the physical world.

Litmus Science turns AI-generated hypotheses into wet lab evidence. The platform lets scientists and R&D teams submit a research question and get multiple quotes from vetted labs within a week, so any AI co-scientist can plug straight into physical lab execution, across the full range of preclinical assays. It handles the setup and coordination of outsourced experiments, so scientists spend less time managing vendors and more time on the problems that actually need their judgment.

## The missing half of the AI co-scientist

Scientific work moves between two worlds. In the computational world, researchers read papers, query databases, analyze data, model systems, compare hypotheses, and decide what evidence is missing. In the physical world, they synthesize compounds, express proteins, run assays, image samples, and generate the observations that determine whether an idea survives.

5. **Run and document the work.** Once approved, a vetted operator executes the experiment under standardized protocols and returns raw data and timestamped documentation, all organized in one place rather than scattered across email threads and static reports.
6. **Analyze and iterate.** K-Dense Web can ingest the new data, test the original hypothesis, update the analysis, and recommend the next best step.

This is more than a handoff from one vendor to another. It creates the possibility of a real feedback loop in which computational reasoning directs physical work, physical evidence updates the computational model, and each cycle makes the next experiment more focused.
