You get an MCP, and you get an MCP. LabMCP runs the instruments, WebMCP runs K-Dense Web, and five new case studies are up.

You get an MCP, and you get an MCP. This week we’re shipping all of the MCPs. Also, five new K-Dense Web use cases are live.

>LabMCP: Let an AI Assistant Run the Instruments

LabMCP is an open-source set of 32 connectors, with 411 actions, that let an AI assistant operate balances, hotplates, pumps, and probes in plain language. Each request is checked against safety limits you set, every command is logged, and a practice mode lets you try it without plugging anything in.

>K-Dense Web Supports WebMCP

An AI agent in your browser can now start a K-Dense Web research session, follow the run, and read the report through typed tools, instead of clicks and screenshots.

>Coming Next: A Litmus Science MCP

A Litmus Science MCP is coming to K-Dense Web, so a session can close the loop from hypothesis to wet-lab result. The agent will scope the experiment, wait for you to approve the protocol and the cost, and send it to Litmus Science. Litmus matches the work to vetted labs, both robotics-run facilities and traditional CROs, and returns the results so the same session can pick the analysis back up.

>Five New K-Dense Web Case Studies

AlphaFold and the human CDKs. Across all 21 cyclin-dependent kinases, chain-level AlphaFold confidence has essentially no correlation with kinase-domain confidence (Pearson r = −0.02). CDK12 looks poor at the chain level (mean pLDDT 50.8) and strong in the kinase domain (93.5).

TP53 structure and function. A crystal structure of p53 bound to DNA explains nine of the ten most common cancer mutations in the DNA-binding domain, and misses 1,116 of 3,629 substitutions that experiments show destroy function. Of the 92 missed variants with a definitive ClinVar label, 91 are pathogenic.

Hidden iron deficiency. Among nonpregnant, nonanemic US women aged 15 to 49, 29.6% have serum ferritin below 30 µg/L, about 17.7 million women. About three in four women in this age group with ferritin that low have normal hemoglobin. This is population research, not medical advice.

The 4% rule. Across every 30-year US retirement from 1871 to 1996, a 4% withdrawal from a 60/40 portfolio ran out of money 3.05% of the time. More realistic assumptions raised that rate to as much as 11.3%. This is historical research, not financial advice.

A traffic jam with no cause. Twenty-two simulated drivers on a 230 m ring road formed a stop-and-go jam from a single 0.5 m nudge, and the jam rolled backward at 21.7 km/h.
