Users are solely responsible for verifying all results before use in any research, publication, or decision-making.

  3. Permission to reference. By participating in the Research Grant Program, you grant K-Dense permission to use your principal investigator's name, research director's name, team name, or organization name in K-Dense marketing materials, website content, and other communications.
  4. Non-commercial use only. The discounted Team plan provided through this program is for non-commercial research purposes only. It may not be used to support for-profit consulting, commercial product development, or any other revenue-generating activity.
  5. Continued eligibility. K-Dense reserves the right to verify your ongoing organizational affiliation at any time. If you or your organization no longer meet the eligibility requirements, K-Dense may revoke the discount and transition your account to the standard Team plan pricing.
  6. Termination for misuse. K-Dense may suspend or terminate access to the discounted plan at its discretion if these terms are violated. Where possible, K-Dense will provide reasonable notice before taking action.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible?

The program is open to researchers at any level, including students, postdocs, faculty, research scientists, and research staff, at academic labs and non-profit research organizations. Non-profits do not need to be academic institutions, but must be conducting research. Anyone can apply, but a team lead, PI, research director, or other administrator will be needed to manage the account. All team members must use an organizational email address when signing up for K-Dense Web.

What happens after I apply?

Our team will review your application and verify your organizational affiliation. You can expect to hear back within 48 hours. Once approved, you'll receive instructions to activate the discounted Team plan.

Can I switch from an existing plan?

Yes. If you're already on a different K-Dense plan, you can switch to the discounted Research Grant Program Team plan once approved. Contact us at support@k-dense.ai for help migrating your account.

What counts as a research organization?

Any non-profit organization whose primary activities include conducting original research. This includes university labs, independent research institutes, policy think tanks, public health organizations doing field research, conservation groups conducting scientific studies, and similar organizations. The key requirement is that the organization is actively conducting research, not simply using research produced by others.

How do I cite K-Dense in my publications?

Include "K-Dense Web (https://k-dense.ai)" in the methodology or tools section of your manuscript. For example: "Literature review and synthesis were conducted using K-Dense Web (https://k-dense.ai)." If your publication venue requires a specific citation format, contact us at support@k-dense.ai and we can provide one.

What happens if I leave my organization?

Your organization's team account remains active and is managed by the designated administrator. If you move to a new eligible organization, you can submit a new application for that organization. If you are the account administrator, make sure to transfer admin access to another team member before leaving.

Is there a limit on team members?

No. The Research Grant Program Team plan includes unlimited seats. You can add as many researchers to your team as needed at no additional cost. All team members share the same pool of 800 monthly credits. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over.

What happens when my subscription renews?

The discounted rate renews automatically each year. K-Dense may periodically verify your organizational eligibility at renewal time. If your organization no longer meets the program requirements, your account will transition to standard Team plan pricing. You will be notified in advance if this applies to you.
